osaka_subwayWhat is the Green Passport Program?

Green Passport aims to provide resources, encouragement, and support to students and other travelers who are interested in participating in study abroad, work and internships abroad in a sustainable way. The guiding principle of GP is the Pledge. When you committ to the Pledge you are stating your intention to concentrate your actions, both during and after your time abroad, on minimizing your impact on the environment while engaging respectfully towards the local culture(s) and community of your host country. See this page for more information on the Pledge.

What does GP offer to students?

At this time GP offers resources, such as travel tips and articles that you can easily access by clicking on the black menu on the left hand side of the page. GP also has a Facebook page that shares useful information several times a week. We also hope to inspire students by showcasing other students experiences in sustainability and study abroad.

What does GP ask of students?

We encourage partipants to share their stories, photos, ideas, and more both here on the webpage and via the Facebook page. Your testimonies are one of the best ways to get more people involved, dedicated, and excited about the possibilities of a “greener” version of study abroad.
